Cite Soleil is a large slum in Port-au-Prince where as many as 400,000 people live in extreme poverty. Regarded as one of the poorest neighborhoods in the Northern Hemisphere, Cite Soleil is a dark place full of corruption and violence.

There is a small school just across the street from Cite Soleil where we have been fortunate enough to get connected. 2012-2013 will be our third year sponsoring students there!

Sponsoring a child's education through Heartline is a great way to pour into the life of a young person. Students not only receive two meals every school day, two uniforms, books, a backpack and school supplies, but they gain routine, a schedule and learn responsibility.

Each sponsor is matched with a student and receives pictures of their student and a letter during the year. To sponsor a student, the cost is $500 for the year or $42 a month.

If you are interested in investing in the life of a young person in Haiti through Heartline's Student Sponsorship Program, contact us at studentsponsorship@heartlineministries.org for more information!
