Our Mission Statement
Heartline Ministries works to strengthen Haitian families and prevent children from becoming orphans through initiatives that empower Haitians with maternal and infant health care, education, vocational training, economic development, and Christian outreach.
Heartline Ministries is guided by the following core values:
People: We believe all people have unsurpassed worth, created in the image of God to experience fullness of life. We treat our staff, volunteers, people served, communities where we work, and partners with dignity and respect. We value diversity of culture, ethnicity, race, background, and contribution.
Holistic Development: We seek to serve the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – through programs that equip Haitians as the authors of their own development.
Servant Leadership: We model servant leadership and equip others to serve their families, churches, and communities with the love of Jesus.
Stewardship: We are committed to excellent financial management and faithfully steward the resources entrusted to us to bring maximum impact to the children, families, and communities we serve.
Partnership: We are partners with the people we serve, donors, churches and other organizations in a shared ministry.
Prayer: The foundation of our work is prayer, which directs us and reminds us of our dependence on God.
Statement of Faith
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God the Father, the Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
